Rapid SQL

Content Summary: Rapid SQL is a popular SQL IDE from Embarcadero. This page outlines the process of registering the Immuta Query Engine as a Datasource in Rapid SQL.

Prerequisite: You must set up your Immuta SQL account before using the Immuta Query Engine with Rapid SQL. See Creating an Immuta user SQL account for details.

Immuta Datasource Setup

  1. In the Rapid SQL menu bar, open the DATASOURCE menu and select Register Datasource.

  2. On the Database Type page, choose PostgreSQL, and then click Next.

  3. On the Connection Information page, enter the host and port. Enter immuta in the Database field and a name in the Datasource field. Then click Next.

  4. Enter the username and password that you configured in your Immuta Profile SQL Credentials, and then click Next.

  5. On the Custom Driver Properties page, click New, enter the property name and value listed for sslmode below, and then click OK. Repeat this process for tcpKeepAlive.

  6. After entering the Custom Driver Properties, you can click Finish to complete the Datasource creation.

  7. You have successfully configured your Immuta Datasource in Rapid SQL. You can right click on the Datasource name, and choose Connect to connect the Immuta Datasource.

You have successfully configured Rapid SQL with a connection to your Immuta Query Engine. From here you can run queries against the tables you have access to in the Immuta Query Engine. For more information about accessing data using the Query Engine see the SQL Access Pattern.
