ODBC Drivers

Audience: Application Admins

Content Summary: The Immuta Web Service and Query Engine use ODBC drivers to communicate with back end storage technologies. Immuta deployments only include a few ODBC drivers that Immuta is able to distribute. All other drivers that are not redistributable must be obtained and deployed by a System Administrator before Data Owners can use the corresponding data source types in Immuta.

This page lists the ODBC drivers supported by Immuta. You can install ODBC drivers from the App Settings page.

Supported Drivers

Amazon Athena

This driver is included with Immuta.

Azure Synapse Analytics

This driver is included with Immuta.

Databricks

This driver is included with Immuta.

Elastic

This driver is included with Immuta.

Google BigQuery

Driver Version: 2.4.0.1002

Expected Files:

  • SimbaODBCDriverforGoogleBigQuery64_2.4.0.1002.tar.gz

Greenplum

This driver is included with Immuta.

Hive

Driver Version:

  • Cloudera: 2.6.9.1009-1
  • EMR: 1.2.2.1018

Expected Files:

  • Cloudera: ClouderaHiveODBC-2.6.9.1009-1.el7.x86_64.rpm
  • EMR: Hive_ODBC_1.2.2.1018.zip

Notes:

  • Select Linux for the Operating System and Rhel 7 - 64bit for the OS version.
  • When downloading the EMR RPM, extract the zip file and upload the 64-bit RPM in the /Linux/EL7/ directory.

Impala

Driver Version: 2.6.8.1008-1

Notes:

  • You must obtain this ODBC Driver from IBM.
  • You need to have the IBM Netezza SQL Extensions toolkit installed on your Netezza server.

Oracle

Driver Version: 19.13.0.0.0

  • oracle-instantclient19.13-basic-19.13.0.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm
  • oracle-instantclient19.13-odbc-19.13.0.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm

SAP Hana

The SAP Hana ODBC driver is available as part of your SAP Hana installation. Please upload a tar.gz file (i.e. odbc.tar.gz that contains the ODBC driver for Linux x86 64).

Snowflake

This driver is included with Immuta.
