Troubleshoot issues with the Microsoft Entra ID integration

AADSTS75011 authentication method error

Users can receive the following error message when logging in to Immuta using SSO and passkey authentication with Microsoft Entra ID:

AADSTS75011: Authentication method 'X509, MultiFactor, X509Device' by which the user authenticated with the service doesn't match requested authentication method 'Password, ProtectedTransport'.

To resolve this issue,

  1. Navigate to the gear App Settings page in Immuta and expand the settings of your Microsoft Entra ID IAM.

  2. Click Add Config Parameter in the Additional Config Parameters section.

  3. Select disableRequestedAuthnContext from the configuration options dropdown menu and enter true as the configuration value.

  4. Save your changes.
