The columns tab provides information about the columns within the data source, including column names and value types.
As a data owner, you can manage column descriptions and tags.
Manage column descriptions
Deprecation notice
Support for this feature has been deprecated and is only available if your data sources were onboarded using a legacy data registration method. Column descriptions of data sources onboarded through connections cannot be edited because they are automatically generated based on information from your data platform.
Navigate to the Columns tab.
To add or edit column descriptions, click the overflow menu in the entry you want to change and select Edit description.
Complete the fields in the form that appears, and then click Save.
Manage column tags
To add column tags,
Navigate to the Columns tab.
To add or edit column tags, click the overflow menu in the entry you want to change and select Add tags.
Select your tags from the dropdown, and then click Add.
To remove column tags,
Click the tag you want to remove.
Click Remove in the side sheet that appears, and then click Confirm.
