The Marketplace app is a multi-tenant service that can talk to multiple Governance apps, but you can only login to one at a time.
Visit the Marketplace at this URL:
The login screen will ask you which Governance app account identifier
to point Marketplace to when you login. This can be found in the your governance app URL:
Ensure you select the Governance app account identifier
that has the Marketplace feature enabled.
When sharing the login URL for others to login, include the account identifier
in the URL. This way the user using the login URL does not have to retrieve or know the account identifier themselves. This can be done by appending ?accountId={account identifier}
to the end of the URL:
https://app.immutacloud.com/marketplace?accountId=iazrvxd3uyshu587bo4v6e9ejj
If you've that supports SAML or OIDC SSO, then users can only login to Marketplace with that IAM. They will not be able to login to Marketplace with internal Immuta accounts.
This is beneficial because when users are for a specific data product:
If not authenticated through SSO, they will not need to specify what SSO provider to use. They will be directed to the SSO provider immediately
If authenticated through SSO, will be immediately directed to the data product request access screen
If more than one IAM provider is configured with Immuta then the user will need to specify which provider to use when visiting Marketplace URLs.
This behavior is only relevant to Marketplace URLs. You are still able to login to the Governance app using , if needed.
