Getting Started with Users

See the User identity best practices guide for information on the best ways the keep your users in sync with Immuta with the least amount of effort. Use one of the options below to register your users in Immuta:

  1. Configure an external identity manager.
  2. Manually register users.

Configure an IAM

External identity managers configured in Immuta allow users to authenticate using an existing identity management system and can optionally be used to synchronize user groups and attributes into Immuta.

  1. Configure your IAM.
  2. Ensure the user IDs are mapped from the integration they will use to Immuta.
  3. Manage user permissions.

Manually create users

  1. Create the users in Immuta.
  2. Ensure the user IDs are mapped from the integration they will use to Immuta.
  3. Manage user permissions.
