Manage Identification Frameworks
The following actions can be completed in the Immuta UI. For details on editing, deleting, and creating frameworks, see the Create a framework API documentation.
Requirements:
- Sensitive data discovery enabled on the Immuta app settings page
- Native SDD for Snowflake and Databricks enabled
- Immuta permission

View identification frameworks
- Click Discover in the navigation menu.
- Select the framework you want more information on. Note the framework with the globe icon is the global framework.
- From here, you can explore the overview tab with information about the framework, the data sources tab with a list of the data sources this framework is applied to, and the discovery rules tab with the active and inactive rules of the framework.
View rules
- Click Discover in the navigation menu.
- Select the Default Framework, which contains all the rules in Immuta, or any other framework.
- Select the Discovery Rules tab.
- Select the rule you want more information on.
- From here, you can explore the overview tab with information about the rule and the criteria tab with the components of the rule, including the criteria type, pattern, and resulting tags.
Adjust the rules in a framework
You can deactivate or activate specific rules within your frameworks from the rules tab:
- Click Discover in the navigation menu.
- Select the framework you want to adjust.
- Select the Discovery Rules tab.
To activate specific rules within your framework,
- Select the checkbox for the rules you want active.
- Select the three-dot menu that appears.
- Click Activate.
To deactivate specific rules within your framework,
- Select the checkbox for the rules you want inactive.
- Select the three-dot menu that appears.
- Click Deactivate.
